Help me add to my ugly dated 70’s kitchen! that has these same cabinets- but am missing two!!! Or Gingerbread, we may be the last two – that love those dated 70’s cabinets.!! They are in the house I bought over 20 years ago. The problem is, the previous owner that put in the cabinets (probably around 45+ years ago,) also put in a Jennair refrigerator. When that broke I replaced it with a regular size/height refridge and there has been a gaping hole above my refridge ever since- for years. I did place a piece of fabric over the hole and it looks better than the hole but not much. The Jennair went to the ceilng. I have a small set of them over the stove and need a pair like them for over the refridge . I ‘ve read and heard that people see them around being thrown out and or donated to Restore or free curb-sided them. We have one Restore thrift shop not far from here that I ‘ve checked sporadically for years to get a set for the hole above the refridge and even looked online a year or two ago but no luck. I’m n NH and don’t want/need and entire set just the smaller duo that goes above the refridge and probably the same as the ones over my stove. I check local free, for sale and yard sale sites too, have yet to find them. As they say "one persons trash is another’s treasure." Don’t want an entire set but sure would like to get missing set for over the fridge. I placed a piece of fabric over the hole, as better than the hole- but not much.. Maybe any of you renters or homeowners could ask the landlord or an owner, if they decide to renovate and get rid of them, maybe to post it here? I don’t want the whole kitchen set though, just the missing set of two. I think I’d feel like I won the lottery to find them around here and be allowed to just get the two missing ones for above my refridge!!! I love mine because after all these years they’re cleanable and clean and if wood they’d probably be worn and filthy. Now, I can’t say that for the old gold or blue acrylic tub shower combos in each bathroom- now those are ugly. Same with my ugly, old counter tops. But hey, I have a house I love in a location I love, so not complaining just wish I could luck into a pair of those "dated ugly" 70’s cabinets!!!
