I wouldn’t put it directly on a burner without a buffer of some kind. You could however place it in a larger pot (soup pot maybe) submerged in a half inch of water as long as the water doesn’t totally evaporate. I would worry the glass will crack if put directly on the burner. I’m sure melitta has guidelines somewhere, as you wouldn’t be the first person to want to keep the coffee warm. I place the pot on a folded towel, then wrap another folded towel around the pot while I drink my first cup. Consider buying a thermos pot to pour it in. That’s a safer idea and the coffee won’t get bitter from being heated.

I’m not sure I would put it on direct heat, but maybe a hot plate on very low or those warmer plate things. I think in the directions somewhere it says not to put it on direct heat or to boil water in it, the glass is thinner than I’d want a glass kettle to be; also the plastic handle would probably melt off (I had that happen to one of my mokka pots).
It’s not pyrex, it’s Schott Duran.
Yes, if you have one of those wire stars that you put on the element between the stove element and the glass as long as you don’t try to heat it too fast, just keep it on low to very low to keep it warm.

I use this pot on a gas stovetop, but it is Pyrex so it should be fine on an electric burner.

I wouldn’t do it. The brochure that came with the unit says:
Caution: To avoid breakage and injury:
-Do not use carafe to boil liquids or for cooking purposes
-Never place the carafe on a gas or electric range, or in a conventional or microwave oven
Again, it may not break, but I would think twice before using the pot contrary to the Cautions.

No… not pyrex… and would NOT put it on an electric stove. Works great, though, and very convenient.
